Our Pastor
Mark Jasa was born July 30th, 1970, in Hawaii. He lived on Oahu until he moved to southern California at age 5. He grew up in Orange County and graduated from Pacifica High School, Garden Grove, in 1988. He graduated from UCLA with a BA in Anthropology. While in the Westwood area he began doing evangelism at college parties and developed an interest in apologetics. With the encouragement of two of his pastors, he served as a missionary in Japan. On his return from Japan he entered seminary at Concordia, St. Louis and began campus ministry at Washington University, St. Louis. During his vicarage at Lutheran Church of Arcata, he served in campus ministry at Humboldt State University. In the summer of 2005 he received his Master of Divinity degree from Concordia and successfully completed coursework at the International Academy of Apologetics, Evangelism and Human Rights in Strasbourg, France.
