Rev. Bob Rossow was our vacancy pastor at ULC from August, 2003 through April, 2005. As his "day job", Pastor Rossow is a professor of theology at Conordia University, Irvine, but as his Sunday job we have been blessed to have him join us in worship, leading us with his preaching and celebration of holy communion.
Pastor Rossow is a graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and has served as a parish pastor in Missouri, Ohio and California. At Concordia U. he is director of pre-seminary studies and teaches Reformation Studies. He has a wife, Kathy, and two lovely children.
Pastor Rossow and his family live in Orange, California. You can contact him by phone during the week at Concordia U. at (949) 854-8002 x1791, or by e-mail at
We thank Pastor Rossow for sharing with our community!

Rev. Timothy Seals was pastor at ULC from July 1994 through June 15, 2003. In 2003 he accepted a call with St. Luke's Lutheran Church, of Claremont, California.
We thank Pastor Seals for his many fine years of service at ULC. His memorable preaching, his deep spirituality, and his outside shot at beta basketball--he will be sorely missed! To get a glimpse of Pastor Seals' insight, you may want to read his newsletter columns.
Rev. Chuck Maske was pastor at ULC before there was a ULC! Before the building was constructed, Lutherans at UCLA worshiped at the University Religious Conference with Pastor Maske. He helped organize the construction of our building. (Hopefully we can scan and add some construction photos here in the future.)
Pastor Maske visited us for the ordination and installation of Rev. Mark Jasa in 2005; the above photo was taken then.
